Committed to the Environment

GROVE INTERNATIONAL's commitment to people drives our commitment to the environment that we share.   We associate ourselves with manufacturers that are educated and innovative in the green initiative. Together, we offer many products that contribute to the global leadership in energy and environmental design (LEED) Green Building Rating System.

Environmental Initiatives

Each of GROVE INTERNATIONAL's Manufacturers show their commitment to the environment with specific initiatives during their manufacturing process:

SEM FIM - Interior Architectural Packages - Kitchen, Bath, Closets & Interior Doors

Our manufacturer's high-quality construction standards add durability to the materials and frequently qualify for LEED point contribution. Our doors are constructed from engineered wood (composite wood - butcher block, hardwoods, solid wood, veneer, mdf, etc.), meeting or exceeding AWI standards. Our kitchen, bath & closet systems  are built from MDF and HDF with 3/4" plywood side panels that are doweled, glued and kem-locked,  100% wrapped with no exposed MDF or HDF.  We are consistently growing our green initiative by finding better ways to build a better product, and thereby adding to the already extensive list of products that contribute to LEED points.

Electric Mirror - Back-Lit Mirrors / Makeup Mirrors / Mirror TVs

Energy efficient, low mercury fluorescent lamps are the standard in all of our Back-Lit Mirrors and Back-Lit TV Mirrors. The long 20,000 hour lamp life requires a fraction of the energy used by standard incandescent. The low mercury rating reduces risk and/or impact of the environmental contamination once the lamps are discarded. We also offer a 50,000 hour lamp life which lasts approximately 10 years and full size LED Back-Lit Mirrors and Back-Lit Mirror TV's with a 75,000 hour life which reduces waste and maintenance costs. Additionally, Electric Mirror recycles mirror waste, which is used by the asphalt industry.

SEM FIM - Interior & Fire Rated Doors

Our door packages offer door core, Veneers and finishes that comply with environmental concerns of the building industry. Cores are F.S.C. Certified, 100% pre-consumer recycled content using no added urea formaldehyde. In addition, our finishes do not contain formaldehyde or VOCs. Our chain of custody certificate ensures that you are receiving a fully certified product.
